Business Advisory Board 

Carol E. Robbins, MBA

 

Provides strategic guidance, insight and marketing services for start-up and developing businesses to support building plans and expanding market operations.  Most recently, Robbins served as Chief Branding Officer and Head of the eBusiness Development Group for Prudential Financial. In this role, she was responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the strategic direction of branding throughout the enterprise.  Robbins also provided strategic leadership for the companyís eBusiness Development Group, a digital center of excellence and shared service that drove digital facility across the company.  Previously, Robbins served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dryden Wealth Management Limited, the former international private client business of Prudential Financial, headquartered in London with 7 offices in Europe and Asia, including a Swiss bank. After repositioning, refocusing and transforming the business from brokerage to wealth management, Carol successfully sold the company at the end of 2005 to Fortis, a Benelux-based financial institution.  Prior to this position, Robbins was the Chief Marketing Officer for Prudentialís international investments and securities operations.  In this role, Robbins managed a wide range of global marketing and product management initiatives. Previously, Robbins had responsibility for marketing and product development in the US Private Client Group of Prudential Securities. During this time, among other notable developments, Carolís team conceived, developed and launched Prudential Advisor, the first financial advisor sold relationship-based investment advisory program on Wall Street. Before joining Prudential in 1997, Robbins was Vice President of Marketing and Product Development at the financial division of R.R. Donnelley.  Among other innovations, Carol drove development and implementation of the first ever internet-based National Recognized Municipal Securities Information Repository.  Carol was also a Group Marketing Manager for household brands and cosmetics at Benckiser Consumer Products, an independent Marketing Consultant and the Manager for the startup and ongoing operations of Stagebill Theater Programs at Lincoln Center.

 

Robbins holds a B.A. from Barnard College and an M.B.A. from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University. She also completed executive education at Harvard Business School.

 

 

Maria Gutman, MBA

Mrs. Gutman has over 10 years of working experience in Fortune 500 companies. She held various roles in sales and communications before taking on a position with General Electric Company as part of the Human Resources Department. While at General Electric she worked in A&D, training, leadership program strategy, brand management, compliance and recruitment process development roles before moving on to Harman International. At Harman she led talent management strategy globally this included talent acquisition, performance management, retention, mentoring, coaching, technology systems and succession planning strategies. Mrs. Gutman holds a Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degree (Cum Laude) in Marketing and Management from Siena College and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree with honors as well as a Post Graduate Certification in Human Resources from Union College. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Organizational and Industrial Psychology from Capella University. 

 

 

 

Svetlana Bakhareva, MS - VP of Finance, Controller and Treasurer

Mrs. Bakhareva has over 11 years of experience managing all financial aspects of large and small companies. She graduated from one of prestigious technology institutes in Russia, Moscow with a Masters degree in Technology Engineering. Mrs. Bakhareva completed, with high honors, an international accounting and financial management university program in Moscow. She has extensive experience working as a Financial Director in numbers of the Russian companies. She has also worked for over 8 years as a Production Manager in CardioMag Imaging Incorporated, overseeing the manufacturing of one of the most unique and complicated FDA approved medical devices known as SQUIDs based Magnetometers utilized for MagnetoCardioGraphy (MCG).
